Manhattan Project Certificate of Appreciation

An example of the Certificate of Appreciation awarded to the many thousands of Manhattan Project workers at the close of the Second World War. The certificate is dated 6 August 1945, the date of the bombing of Hiroshima. This particular certificate was awarded to my mother, Claudia F. Osborn, who worked as a Refining Oxide Operator (RO Operator), at the Y-12 Plant, Tennessee Eastman Company, Clinton Engineer Works, from 3 Aug 1944 to 18 Feb 1947.
